The Executive Governor of Oyo State,
HE Governor Seyi Makinde FNSE, DSc,

Your Excellency,

Three hundred and Seven Thousand and Seventy one (307,071)…that is the margin of votes polled by you, the winner, in contrast with the distant runner up in the just concluded Governorship election held here in Oyo State.

Despite the voter apathy experienced nationwide, history is made yet again in Oyo State as you graciously received an unprecedented 64.45% of the total valid votes cast, thanks to the massive 563,756 votes of confidence bequeathed on you by the good people of the ‘Pace Setter’ State.
Clearly, the people have spoken; “Seyi Lekansi!”

Claiming it has been a pleasure working with you is an understatement, I believe it has been a huge privilege learning under you in the last couple of years. The campaign trail afforded an opportunity to assess you at close quarters without drawing attention and I must confess that you are a special breed. I am convinced that God specifically designed you not just to lead but much more to inspire dignity in profitable labour.

Congratulations on your re-election sir and suffice to say that you had it coming with your giant developmental strides across the State. This is a prompt to do more as it is not yet uhuru. As we proceed to Omituntun 2.0, I pray God grants you greater grace to surpass all your initial feats in Omituntun 1.0.
