Tinath Realities Launches Housing Project In Ibadan, Says Blue Sapphire District ‘ll Become Hub For Innovation

Managing Director and CEO Tinath Realities, Mr Kola Abimbola, on Thursday, stated that another landmark housing project called Blue Sapphire District SmartCity project, in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State, would be a small London upon completion.

He stated this on Thursday at the launching of the project which he said would soon be open for various developers and investors within the country and outside the country.

At the event, Oyo state top government officials, some critical stakeholders in real estate business in the state, the developers and realtors such as Tinath Realities, Asimais Company Limited and the traditional rulers in Ikija Communities along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway gathered to witness the event.

They were led by the Executive Chairman of Oluyole local government, Engr Akeem Olatunji, who flagged off the Blue Sapphire District “SmartCity” Project.

The project, which was flagged off by the Executive Chairman of Oluyole local government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, described the project as a groundbreaking initiative, envisioned to be a mixed-use, net-zero digital community.

He further noted that the project aimed to integrate light industrial, commercial, research and development innovation hubs, tertiary healthcare facilities, residential areas, hotels, green parks, a renewable energy plant, transport and logistics hubs, urban agro-resorts, and recreational spaces.

It spans approximately 555.22 hectares of land within the Oluyole Free Trade Zone and designed to transform abandoned quarry sites and adjacent lands into an eco-friendly habitat.

Reflecting on Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive in Oyo State, Olatunji said, the project, when completed, will be a game changer in terms of real estate development.

Olatunji further highlighted the project’s potential to promote economic growth and attract huge investments to the local government and by extension,the state at large.

“This project exemplifies the progressive vision of my leader, father, and political mentor, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde. The conducive business environment established by the governor is now yielding transformative initiatives like this, and we have no other choice than to fully key into such vision and run with it.

“The Smart City when completed, is expected to become a hub for innovation and sustainability, which offer immense opportunities for investors. The project’s focus on renewable energy, urban greenery, and eco-friendly design reinforces the commitment of the present administration in Oluyole local government and Oyo state to creating a sustainable future for our people.” Olatunji said.

Speaking further, the Oluyole LG boss said, “This investment in Ibadan Smart City is not just about infrastructure but also about creating a prosperous future for the people of Oyo State. It promises high returns and sustainable growth.”

In his words, the state Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Hon Niyi Adebisi expressed his satisfaction over the cordial relationship between the history communities and the developers of the project.

He maintained that the state government will continue to create a conducive atmosphere for business to thrive.

In his remarks, the state Chiarman for Housing Corporation, Hon Ademola Omotosho noted that over N35 billion has been invested in real estate sector in the state in the last five years.

Omotosho urged well meaning Nigerians to come invest in real estate business in Oyo State, stressing that Oyo State is blessed with landmass.

He said, “The state is doing the best to fill the housing gap deficit, this is another landmark event, this will not only add color and beauty to Oyo State, but will add economical value, this project will provide jobs opportunities for our people and it will surely open up more opportunities.

Other notable dignitaries at the event include, the President General of Central Council Of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Barrister Ajeniyi Ajewole alongside some Ibadan High Chiefs, Mogajis, Baales, the Board Chairman of Asimais Company Limited, a partnering real estate firm handling the project, Alhaji, Kolawole Rasaq, the Board Chairman of Tinath Realities, Mr Bamiji Olaokun, the Chief Operating Officer of Tinath Realities, Architect Steve Olawoore among others.
