Former president Olusegun Obasanjo alongside former Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, has visited the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
Obasanjo’s visit is the latest in a series of visits to the country home of Wike by politicians across party lines.
Wike, who is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, has been at loggerheads with the main opposition party leadership after the presidential primary that produced Atiku Abubakar as the PDP presidential candidate.
Wike and other aggrieved PDP governors tagged G5 have been calling for the resignation of PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
Rivers governor, who had earlier told Nigerians that he would declare and start campaigning for his preferred presidential candidate in January is also yet to take any move, even as the month is running to an end.
