Oyo State weightlifter, Ayodele Ruth Imoleayo, has made Nigeria proud at the 2023 International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to the result release today by the International Weight Lifting Federation via their Twitter handle @iwfnet revealed that Ayodele came second in the W64KG session with the following record; Snatch: 100KG, C&J: 122KG, Total: 222KG while Nathalia Llamosa Mosquera from Columbia record; Snatch: 101KG, C&J: 122KG, Total : 223KG and Minkyung Park from Korea record; Snatch: 97KG, C&J: 123KG, Total: 220KG.
Ayodele was decorated by the Brigadier General Shadad el-Omari, member of Saudi olympic board of directors.
Recall that Ayodele Ruth Imoleayo, who represented Oyo State at the National Sports Festival Delta 2022, won two gold and one silver.
