The organizer of the Oyo State Most Influential Award Series, Ibadan Media Limited, Mr Olalekan Olanrewaju Ola, on Saturday, gave update about the progress of the 2022 edition of the event.
The grand event, which has been endorsed by the Oyo State government, will be taking place at Manhattan Hall, Jericho Ibadan, on 29th of January, 2023.
Addressing journalists during a press conference held at the organisation’s office at Albarakah Complex, New Bodija, Olanrewaju noted that there are three categories for the event including men, women and the youth body, adding that amazing prices will be presented to the winners.
He explained that one of the best travelling agencies in the country, Ufitfly, who is also patnering the event, will present the winner with “all expenses paid trip to Rwanda in Kigali for 5days and 4 nights.”
He added that the winner of the Youth category will be given 300square meter of landed property and ambassadorial endorsement deal by AdBond properties, even as the same company would give tangible gifts to the Man and Woman winners on the day of the event.
Olanrewaju further explained there would be honorary category, which is meant to be awarded to veterans, highly valued personalities in the society, and those who have supported the event in one way or the other.
The category of the 100 most influential according to Mr Olarenwaju, is determined by the board of jury thus countering rumours going around that the people who were selected for the awards had probably paid him, or that the selection is always manipulated.
He said: “I will like to let you know that, we have 3 voting categories and 2 none voting categories. Voting is ongoing presently for Man, Woman, and Youth of the year, which are the voting categories, and voting will closes on the 10th of January, 2023.
