Omipidan will squander whatever is remaining of his integrity if he continues to tell bareface lies.
First and foremost, did Omipidan not find it ludicrous that his Principal, Oyetola, failed in his hatred to cooperate with the new administration to set up any transition committee as expected of a prestigious office that he occupied?
Furthermore, why did it take the defeated Governor almost a week after we had exposed their thievery and looting to come up with unfounded defense? Perhaps he (Omipidan) was taking his time to rehearse his bundle of lies accurately!
Again, a cabinet member under Oyetola, who is more truthful than Omipidan in the person of the immediate past Commissioner for Information, Funke Egbemode, had admitted that there was a looting of government assets while Oyetola was still in charge but she blamed it on unknown men. She went on to say that the administration of Oyetola reported the case with the civil defense.
Shall we ask Omipidan to inform the public the outcome of the investigation by the civil defense? Who and who have been arrested and prosecuted? Who was lying between Egbemode and Omipidan who both served under Oyetola? How reasonable can it be to accuse the new administration of a looting that took place under the Oyetola era and which was reported with the security by Oyetola’s handlers?
Is Omipidan aware that some of the security aides who served Oyetola later returned few sofa sets, which was abandoned at the entrance of the quarters of the CSO to the former Governor? Is Omipidan unaware that the immediate past Deputy Governor confessed, in his admission text, that he still has some government cars in his convoy apart from the ones he purportedly claimed to buy with his personal money?
The truth is the last APC administration of Oyetola is shameless and without any modicum of honour if it could resort to burglary of state’s assets. I don’t want to believe that Mr Omipidan also have state’s properties in his care but the odour of his defense for looters of government assets is highly barbaric. He should advise his friends in APC who may have government assets under their robes to surrender, otherwise, the laws will go after all the thieves in due time no matter how highly placed they can be or whose ox is gored.
