I have come a long a way with Mallam Olawale Rasheed. I can not exactly remember when our relationship started really but what I can recollect is that we had dealings together since his time with Senator Akinlabi when the later served as Youth Development Minister in 2011.
We, again, had a close nexus in 2014 on the campaign of Otunba Iyiola Omisore when the later wanted to be Governor. And down the line till date that I am serving under the same government with him where he is my direct Oga. All these years I know that Mallam is ever results oriented and he has constantly been on top of the media game. Simply put, he must deliver. However this delivery skyrocketed to a climax yesterday but it is no surprise for us who are familiar with the erstwhile “Abuja big Boy”.
Since about 4 months ago that we have started the fruitful work under Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, we are getting very impressive feedbacks from array of doyens in the industry. You will recall the Dele Momodu’s note on this Iwo Born Captain. Others from similar media czars abound too which are not necessary to mention here in the open and they are not being taken for granted. We know we have substantial milestones being recorded under the Spokesperson cum maiden Special Adviser to His Excellency. However we did not realize that the camp of former Governor Oyetola has been helplessly reduced to the hogwash level it was found yesterday. Oyetola simply could no longer breath in the discomfort that our choking have caused the yesterday’s Leader. Likewise his harangue of subordinates, their incompetence is now subject of apparent notice. They are sad PDP have taken over the airwaves and we are dominating media narrations and narratives. The masses believe our team and prefer our brand to their opaque one.
APC media vuvuzelas simply could no longer hide their pain when they jumped to the town with a fabrication that Mallam Olawale Rasheed has been relieved of his appointment with immediate effect by Governor Ademola Adeleke. Though that did not happen, but it was their greatest ambition, prayer and desire in God that their headache MOR should go. How could anyone imagine a winning captain can be substituted? At about the time their warped concoction was being cooked in Iragbiji, Mallam Olawale Rasheed was with his Principal the Governor throughout the day manning the duty post. God failed the evil desirer and Allah turned his back on them by not answering their wicked prayer. Olawale Rasheed is very much around, he is in charge of the media and communication department of His Excellency and indeed the Government’s information sector till date. And nothing suggest there will be any disruption till infinity time. MO is a darling to Governor Ademola Adeleke just as Mr Governor is a God’s sent Principal to him.
The haters therefore have not seen anything. Their torment is not stopping. If doing our job is the source of their ailment, there is no respite and healing in sight.
