The Executive Chairman of Oorelope Local Government, Hon. Jacob Ogundiran Oluwale, has expressed his condolences to Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde, the family of Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Barrister Muyiwa Makinde, as well as the entire Makinde family and the good people of Ibadanland following the passing of Engineer Sunday Makinde.
Engineer Sunday Makinde, a 65-year-old and the eldest brother of Governor Makinde, passed away in the early hours of today, January 24, 2025.
In his condolence message, which was signed through a press statement issued by his Head of Media and Publicity, Comr. Hassan Ridwan, Hon. Ogundiran stated, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of your brother. His memory will always shine as a source of love and light, helping you through your darkest moments. My thoughts are with you as you cope with this immense loss.”
He added, “While I can only imagine the pain you are feeling, I want you to remember that God is present for you and the entire family he left behind. Your brother’s kindness, love, and generosity will remain in our hearts, and his legacy will live on.”
Ogundiran, however, prayed that Almighty God provide strength to Governor Makinde, and the entire Makinde family, protect the wife and children of the deceased.
While concluding his message, Hon. Jacob urged the good people of Ibadanland and Oyo State to keep the governor, his brother, and the Makinde family in their prayers during this trying time.
