The president general, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Prince Oluyemisi Adetayo Adeaga as declared that the Olubadan of Ibadan Land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Moshood Olalekan Balogun (Alli Okunmade II) will move in to the new Ibadan palace at Oke-Aremo before the end of December, 2022.
Adeaga made this known today, while featuring on Splash FM’s current affairs Programme, “Gbangba-Lasaata” which was monitored by dplanetmedia.com.
The CCII chairman said, “it’s a pity that till now, we’ve not had a befitting palace for our monarch which we can be proud of; although we’ve started the project for quite a while and all our expectations were to complete the project by October but as god will have it, we are at about sixty percent completion.”
Moreover, Adeaga also made it known that the plan of CCII is to promote Olubadan throne until it became the first monarch to recon with throughout Nigeria.
Meanwhile, in another development, Adeaga debunked a story, saying, “Ladoja, CCII Give Bayo Lawal Arousing Welcome, Present Him Seyi Leekansi Frame”; Adeaga bluntly dissociate himself and the CCII from the report saying that CCII is not a political party and not in support of such report which he described as political. “The person that wrote that report is political, and even if there is a picture attached to the report it might be a photoshopped image; CCII is not a political party or group but a council of all Ibadan indigenes which relates with all political parties and groups but members on individual bases are free to be a member of any political party of their choice” he said.
Lastly, Adeaga admonished all Ibadan people to contribute towards the completion of the ongoing palace project through donation into the designated account as new fund raising of seven hundred million was launched on Saturday.
“The palace project is in phases, we will commence phase two immediately after the competition of phase one” he concluded.
