The Chairman of Ogo-Oluwa local government area of Oyo State, Hon. Seun Ojo, has led the Councillors, has embarked on a strategic initiative by leading a delegation of ten councillors to the National Assembly for legislative proceedings experience.
The effort, according to the Chairman, is aimed at enhancing their knowledge and capacity in legislative matters including how to propose bills, sponsor motions, roll-calling procedures, preparation of Order of the Day, and other related legislative activities.
Commenting on the objectives of the exercise, he noted that the exercise would not only enhance their knowledge and capacity in legislative matters but also bolster effective governance at the local level.
He equally added that it would foster effective governance and promote sustainable development at the grassroots level.
The initiative by the LG Boss demonstrates Hon. his dedication to empowering his team and ensuring continued growth for the Council, having making efforts to invest in human capital development.
Other key stakeholders in the Council who joined the Chairman for the trip include the Chief of Staff to the council; Head of Local Government Administration (HLA); Director of Admin and Supply and Director of Finance, among others.
