Chairman of Euro Lounge & Exclusive Bar, Mogaji Adekunle Amidu Busari, has charged members of the Eegunjenmi Family of Itutaba, Oje, Ibadan, to continue to love one another and promote unity within the family.
Busari, who is the Mogaji of the family, gave this charge at the family’s end-of-the-year get-together held at the family compound in Itutaba on December 23.
He equally implored all family members to attend the family meetings as and when due and make their contributions and to also transform the family’s end-of-the-year to Eegunjenmi Day, to be held every year and to serve as an avenue to bring the family together from far and near.
Mogaji Busari extended his warm appreciation to all members of the family, especially Ambassador Ibironke Adefope, for their immense support in the last 11 months since he was installed as the Mogaji.
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mohood Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, installed Alhaji Busari as Mogaji Eegunjenmi on January 23, 2023.
Mogaji Busari, who also used the occasion to give account of his stewardship, said he oversaw the drafting of the family’s constitution, the repair of the compound’s borehole as well as welfare efforts to the aged women during the last Ramadan.
Others were the: the opening of the family account at Zenith Bank Plc, into which all monthly contributions and voluntary donations by family members in Nigeria and diaspora are to be paid by the Treasurer; the donation of two ceiling fans to the Amulegb’osan Mosque; purchase of 10 dozens of plastic chairs through support from family members.
He appreciated all family members at home and in the diaspora for their monetary and other contributions towards the programmes, charging them to maintain the support.
He said: “All praises and glory are due to almighty God for enabling me to stand before you to account for my stewardship since I took the mantle of Mogaji of Eegunjenmi family on 23rd January, 2023 till date.
“First, a lot of thanks go to the Baale, the elders, the executives and the entire members of Eegunjenmi family, who supported me spiritually, morally and financially for the success of the coronation.
“I will be an ingrate, if I don’t extend my regards to my sister, Ambassador Ibironke Adefope. She stood by us when the going was tough and helped a lot. I wish her sound health, long life and may she reap the fruit of her labour.
“I, therefore, want to say that the modest achievements that we have recorded were all made possible through the cooperation of elders and the entire family members.
“Let me also extend my appreciation to you for the way you all rallied round me on December 20, 2023 when I was given a Media Award of Excellence by the BCOS branch of Radio Television Theater & Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU).”
