The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives candidate for Ogbomoso North, South, and Oriire Federal Constituency, Hon. Olufemi Oladokun Onireti, on Friday, suspended his ward-to-ward campaign which he started last Monday.
Onireti, in a press release made available to newsmen, said the suspension of our ward-to-ward campaign, which we started on Monday, has been suspended with immediate effect until further notice.
He added that the action was in compliance with the directive of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde.
“It may interest you to know that today is the turn of Osupa Ward where I hailed from but I can not allow my interest to override the general interest,” the statement said.
He noted that the suspension is to show solidarity with the good people of Ogbomoso North, South, and Oriire Federal Constituency on their plight over fuel and the Naira Crisis which has made life difficult for them in the last two weeks.
He further urged the Federal Government to ensure that necessary measures are put in place to ameliorate the suffering emanating from the fuel and new naira scarcity
