When I read the vituperation of the newly appointed Media Aide to the Minister of the FCT Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, a spent force from Ayo Fayose, I did not expect less from an errand boy doing the bidding of his errand masters.
Little did both the errand boy and his errand masters (Ayo Fayose & Nyesom Wike) realise that even their paymaster’s (Tinubu) political career was once headed for doom and was saved by a Grandmaster (Atiku).
The worthless statement by Lere Olayinka about betrayal is reminiscent of an errand boy doing the dirty media job that he was apparently appointed to do: just attack Atiku at every given opportunity.
Perhaps Lere has forgotten so soon, the numerous times and moments his errand masters have shamelessly bitten the fingers that fed them. Atiku was not a betrayer when he joined forces with like minds to build the PDP, a political party that his errand masters are today struggling to take over for the purposes of destroying it for their paymaster ( Tinubu). The motive was not only selfish, it was also destructive and the biggest act of betrayal against the party and millions of PDP members.
Atiku was not a betrayer when he financially supported Fayose to become the Governor of Ekiti State in 2003 which in turn provided an opportunity for the errand boy Lere Olayinka to serve in the failed, deceitful and confirmed corruption-filled government of his errand master (Fayose).
The fallacious statement made against the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar by the errand boy Lere Olayinka about being a betrayer, is laughable and an indication of their frustration and confusion that Atiku not only keeps waxing stronger, but remains the biggest threat to their selfish and inordinate ambitions to kill the PDP for Tinubu just like Seyi Makinde , Nyesom Wike and the rest of unfortunate G5 did in thier various states in 2023.
What is more unfortunate is that these characters forget the course of history so soon or they are just being deliberate in twisting the fact to suit their lame rhetorics .
Therefore, for the education of Lere Olayinka and his errand masters, Atiku has remained the rallying point of political excellence in Nigeria, an enviable position Atiku achieved naturally without coercion , threats , insults or financial inducements of any kind but just by the virtue of his vision, leadership acumen , capacity, courage , humility , vast contacts, network , respect and statesmanship that Lere Olayinka’s errand masters ( Wike and Fayose ) can never match .
It is obvious and incontrovertible today, that everyone supporting Wike is doing so not because they love him or belive in his leadership capacity or because he is a super man, but because of the crumbs they will get from him, hence Lere Olayinka’s rush to pick an appointment with an open betrayer of trust and kindness.
What act of betrayal can be more than what Lere’s errand masters have done to the soul of PDP? These characters worked against their party, while they continue to stay within the party to cause confusion, inflicting psychological and emotional pain and trauma on the party faithfuls, working shamelessly with the opposition and promoting and supporting opposition’s game plans, What more betrayal can be more than all these ? It is still fresh on our minds how Fayose contested under Labour Party and failed; and later returned to the PDP only to work against the Governorship candidate of the PDP. To errand boy Lere Olayinka, all these means nothing .
Atiku is a hero, he is the real man, when he felt betrayed by the party alongside other stakeholders, he joined them to fight from the outside until the party realised and corrected her mistakes and Atiku returned, all of these were based on strong principles not betrayal.
I challenge Lere Olayinka and his Tinubu’s errand masters to an open debate so the world can know who truly are the betrayers.
While I truly understand that this is the job for the badly broke boy Lere, it must be done with some resolute decorum.
