•Says Ekiti people will decide based on scorecards in 2026
The former Publicity Secretary of Ekiti State Grassroot Moverment and Secretary of Support Groups for Atiku Presidential Campaign Council in Ekiti, has berated Ekiti State Goveronor for what he described as over-ambition for second term, reiterating that Ekiti is fast becoming vulnurable to external attacks under his watch.
Reacting to the unfortunate incidents of the killing of two monarchs, Elesun and Onimojo on Sunday by suspected terrorists, who allegedly invaded the town, Mr Adeola said Governor Abayomi should take responsibility for the spate of insecurity in Ekiti; adding that the governor has performed poorly in his responsibility to securing lives and property as the governor.
“Recall that armed robber invaded Ikere Ekiti some months ago. Information revealed that about 5 lives were lost and, as we speak, there is no information as to if they have been arrested or not.
“The peaceful state has been thrown into an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty giving the governor’s poor security savvy and adviser. Even, APC State Chairman, Paul Omotoso, was kidnapped under his leadership.
“Why is the governor celebrating facade endorsements from praise singers when the people of Ekiti cannot sleep with their two eyes closed,” Adeola queried.
Calling in the governor to face governance, Adeola urged well-meaning stakeholders to salvage the state from further external attacks.
“We cannot continue like this. Now that Monarchs are no longer safe in their comfort zone, stakeholders should rise to the occasion to nip the unfortunate incident in the bud.
“Face governance and stop begging for endorsement. Ekiti people will decide,” Adeola concluded.
