Golfers stormed Ibadan, Oyo state capital on Friday, October 27th, to celebrate, an Ibadan Chief, Mogaji Oladiran Alabi on his recent installation as Atayeshe Of Ile Ife.
The Ibadan Mogaji, Chief Oladiran Alabi
was installed as Atayeshe of Ladin-Lakoro, Ile Ife last Saturday by Oni of Ile, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi through, Oba Isaac Adesina, Olu of Lakoro.
In commemorating the installation the
Elite Golfers of Ikoyi Club 1938 organized a golf kitty and dinner party in honor of Mogaji Alabi.
At the end of the energy-sapping golf kitty tagged ‘ Atayeshe of Mogaji Oladiran Gulf Kitty”, the duo of Mbonu R. and Adebusuyi M. were declared champions in various categories.
Our correspondent reports that a dinner and presentation of prizes and awards took place in the evening at the Akogun Tunde Afolabi Pavillion of Ibadan Golf Club.

Second Vice Captain, Seyi Alaba, while congratulating the Ibadan Mogaji in a warm welcome address appreciated all the guests for gracing the occasion.
Chairman, Elite Golfers of Ikoyi Club 1938 Tafa Zibiri-Aliu, expressed his delight to be in Ibadan with other golfers to celebrate Mogaji Alabi on his installment as Atayeshe, noting that his personality deserved such great honor.
He further emphasized that the club had always maintained high standards, admitting only individuals of impeccable record, pedigree, and social standing as members.

“I met him a couple of years ago and he has been a very good brother to me. Anytime he is around Ibadan, he will send for me so that we can hang around, wine, and dine together.
“So, my prayer is for God to continue to bless and protect him and all that he has. And he will answer the new title for long in Jesus’ name.
The Atayeshe, Mogaji Oladiran Alabi,
thereafter thanked all members of the Elite Golfers of Ikoyi Club 1938 and the leadership for celebrating his new title with him in a larger capacity.
