The Executive Chairman Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, on Saturday, extended financial support to Ifelodun Landlord Association, Ogbagba, in Ward Seven of the Council area.
He presented a total sum of N500,000 cheque to the community excos at his office in the Council’s Secretariat.
In their separate reactions, the community leaders appreciated the chairman for his philantrophic gesture and commitment to the welfare of his people at the grassroots.
They thanked him for giving the community the rare privilege of benefitting from the dividends of democracy.
“We feel happy about this donation and for the sense of belonging, which the chairman has given to us. We appreciate him for all-the-time support and pray that God will continue to be with him.
“He has always shown to us that he loves us and we love him too. As a matter of fact, we will go all out for him in the forthcoming LG election because he deserves to continue in the office. We have known his tenure for good. His commitment to the welfare of the people is top-notch. So, we all appreciate him.”
While promising to vote for Adeojo’s continuity in office for a second term in office in the forthcoming local government election, they said he deserves it and would mobilize necessary support to get the ambition actualized.
The occasion was witnessed by the Local Government Secretary, Hon. Bamidele Lawal (BAMBAM), the Head of the Local Government Administration, Dr. Mrs Agness Ojo, among other political functionaries in the Council.
