In a bid to complement the efforts of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. ‘Seyi Makinde, the Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, held a meeting security agencies in the state.
During the meeting, which held at the Executive Hall of Ido Local Government, on Thursday, the Council boss supported the security operatives with cash, aimed at purchasing fuel to enhance their patrol and other needed logistics within the Council area.
Adeojo, speaking on the development, noted that the gesture was aimed at encouraging the security officers to do more.
In their separate responses, the security agencies represented at the meeting including operatives of the Police, NSCDC, DSS, Immigration, FRSC and FIB, appreciated the Chairman and his team for their timely support and cooperation.
They also hailed the council chairman on the rehabilitation of major roads he embarked on which, according to them, used to be ‘death trap’.
Similarly in his remark, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Bamidele Lawal a.k.a. (Hon. Bambam), noted that the Chairman’s style of leadership and penchant for security of lives and property in the Council is commendable.
He, therefore, pledged on behalf of all political functionaries to strongly stand behind Hon. Sheriff Adeojo while they wish him a purposeful tenure till 2027.
Those in attendance include Alhaji Bashir Adesiyan, the Head of Local Government Administration; Dr. Mrs Agness Ojo, the Director of Administration and General Services; the Director of Finance and Supplies and a host of others.
