Ido LG Boss, Adeojo, Bags National Merit Award From RootsWatch Magazine

The Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, has bagged a prestigious award, having emerged as one of the best performing local government Chairman in Nigeria.

The Merit Award entitled ‘Distinguished Local Government Chairman in Nigeria’, was presented to him, on Thursday, at the National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, by Rootswatch Magazine.

According to the Chief Editor of Rootswatch magazine and National Coordinator of Distinguished Local Government Chairmen Merit Award, Chief Bayode Ojo, the award recognizes the outstanding accomplishment and contributions of Hon. Sheriff Adeojo on meaningful developmental projects executed for the benefit of his people at the grassroots.

He noted that out of all the chairmen being unveiled for the conferment of the award, Adeojo passed the litmus test of accountable leadership.

Adeojo, who was accomplished by his darling wife, Mrs. Ifedolapo Adeojo, following the receipt, dedicated the award to Almighty God, his immediate family, the Ido PDP family, the good people of Ido local government and, most especially, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde.

“I appreciate this wonderful award and the leadership style of my Governor, which I try as much as possible to he emulate at the local government level,” Adeojo quipped.

The council boss, however, seized the opportunity to express his sincere appreciation to all residents of the Council for their support so far and solicited continuous support to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
