As results trickle in, Oyo News has confirmed that Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde is in an early lead, having won about 28 out of the 33 local government areas (LGAs).
Results will be announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on Sunday, March 19, 2023.
Meanwhile, Makinde won the ongoing governorship election at the polling unit of the Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran.
Adeniran has two Polling Units at his family compound, in Ward 7, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area of the state. The Polling units are PU 10 and 11.
The erudite Lawyer and other leaders took part in Makinde’s re-election campaign to different parts of the state.
He was the Deputy Director-General, Seyi Makinde Campaign Council.
PDP’s Seyi Makinde polled 80 votes while Teslim Folarin of APC scored 18 at PU 10, Ward 7, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area.
At PU 11, Ward 7, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area of Oyo state, Makinde polled 92, while Folarin had 24 votes.
