Former First Lady of Lagos State, Senator Fatimat Raji Rasaki, on Monday, avowed confidence in the appointment of Hon. Oyetunde Ojo by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying It is not about semantics but truth, that the Federal Housing Authority will attain greater height under the new Managing Director.
Sen. Raji Rasaki while congratulating the new MD, Federal Housing Authority, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo in Abuja, said Nigerians are anticipated to see progress in activities of the FHA in tandem with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President adding, the emergence of the new helmsman, was purposeful adding that Ojo is best equipped for the job.
She said Hon. Ojo, a former Member, House of Representatives have over a decade of work experience in the housing and hospitality industries, “this is not a rocket science, Ojo has been in the system and with huge exposure in the industry, Ojo is an alumnus of Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government as well as the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Housing Finance.
“He holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom. His relationship with Mr. President’s family is secondary and should not be brought into call to duty in nation building, expertise and knowledge should be prioritised.” Sen. Raji Rasaki said.
She called on Nigerians to be fair minded and trust Mr. President’s decisions on major national issues, saying the nation will in no longer time start to witness improvements with the appointment of credible individuals at all levels.
On the appointment of Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, Sen. Raji Rasaki pointed out that, “Nigeria want an FHA, Managing Director, whose actions will inspire governments to dream more,, do more and achieve more in the housing deficit challenges facing our people. We want an MD who has the commitment and passion to truly serve Nigerians devoid of ethnicity, political and religion affiliations and place their wishes above any interest.”
