BIG PROMISE: As Local Govt Chairman, I’ll Commission New Project Every Four Months – Ibrahim Akintayo

Following his victory at the just concluded local government election in the state, Hon. Ibrahim Akintayo has been officially sworn in for his second term as the Chairman of Ibadan North East Local Government.

The inauguration ceremony took place, on Friday, at the House of Chiefs within the Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, amid an atmosphere of optimism and renewed commitment to public service.

Administered by the Chief Justice of Oyo State, Hon. I.S. Yerima, the event was attended by key government officials, dignitaries, and enthusiastic supporters.

As he took the oath of office, Akintayo reaffirmed his dedication to serving the community and addressing the needs of the people atbthe grassroots level.

In his inaugural speech, Hon. Akintayo expressed heartfelt gratitude to the residents of Ibadan North East for their continued trust and support.

Equally, he pledged to prioritize the needs of the people, focusing on initiatives that will enhance the quality of life in the local government area.

Akintayo also vowed that his administration would work towards commissioning one project at least every 4 months.

He said: “I am deeply honored to be entrusted with a second term as Chairman. My administration will remain committed to transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery.

“Again, I want to make a promise that I will work tirelessly to address the pressing needs of the people at the grassroots level. I will continue to work towards improving infrastructure, ensuring better healthcare,  education and address other critic sectors as well.

“l plan to commission or inaugurate one project or programme within every 3-4 months from the start of our tenure.”

He also highlighted the importance of collaboration between the local government and the residents, urging everyone to participate actively in the development process.

Akintayo, however, called for unity and collective effort to achieve the common goals of prosperity and progress in the council.

The ceremony concluded with a sense of hope and anticipation as the chairman embarked on his new term, ready to lead Ibadan North East Local Government towards a brighter future.
