Ahead of the forthcoming presidential election, community based organisations, civil society organisations and other Faith groups in Enugu State, have endorsed the candidacy of the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The manifesto of the PDP candidate, on Tuesday, was also attested to by the groups during a one-day sensitisation meeting held at Villa Toscana International Hotels, Indepence Layout, Enugu, Enugu State.
In his presentation, Hon. Kunle Yusuf, MON, Assistant Director, CSOs PPDP-PCC, while speaking on Atiku’s manifesto to the CSOs and CBOs, assured that the PDP Presidential Candidate will deliver on the campaign promises.
He added that all the 17 SDGs targets and other Development Agenda are already encapsulated in the Atiku’s manifesto.
In attendance were Prophet Agu Chineme, Special Assistant to the Enugu State Governor on Entertainment and Director-General, Oganiru Aku-Diewa Initiative; Barrier Sunday Onyike D-G, Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, Enugu State; Hon. Ifeanyi Ogbu, Senior Special Assistant on Transport; Hon. Ogonna Ogbonna, PDP Organization Secretary, Enugu State; Chief Chris Okike, Executive Director, Global Network for Youths Empowerment and Equal Justice and Hon. Adai Edwin Adai D-G, Democracy Witness Group International.
Some civil society organisations represented at the event include Enugu Liberation Forum, Centre for Development and Media Advocacy, Enugu State Northern Youth Forum, Good Governance for All Nigeria, (GGAN) among others.

In continuation of its nationwide sensitization on the manifesto of the PDP Presidential candidate, Wazirin Atiku Abubakar, GCON, Concerned Initiatives for Community and Social Development in collaboration with other Civil Society’s Organizations, CSOs; Community Based Organizations, BSOs and Faith-Based Organizations, FBOs, organized a one-day meeting for the South East Geo- Political Zone to be the frontline beneficiary of massive developments when he becomes the President on Tuesday, 14th February 2023 at Villa Toscana International Hotels, Indepence Layout, Enugu, Enugu State.
Theme: The Significance Of Atiku Abubakar Manifesto To Enugu State Development.

The meeting adopted unanimously the manifesto of His Excellency, Wazirin Atiku Abubakar, GCON, with the following specific addendum:
1.That as President, all efforts should be made to provide everlasting solution to the security challenges in the South East.
2.That public water system and mineral resources exploration should be functional and given utmost attention across the entire South East of Nigeria.
3.That inter-state Road networks within the five States that make up South East, should be rehabilitated and completely overhauled.
4.That the true federation policy as contained in the manifesto should be vigorously pursued.
5.That the managers and campaigners of Atiku should be commended for organising peaceful and rancour-free campaign devoid of character assassination as signed by their Principal in conjunction with other Presidential candidates and the Peace Committee of Nigeria.
