The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratical Party (PDP), Alh. Atiku abubakar greets the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief Barr. Nyesome Wike on the occasion of his 55th birthday.
This is happening despite an ongoing face-off between Atiku and G5 members led by Governor Wike, which is yet to be settled.
The stance of the G5 has since complicated the challenges faced by Atiku Abubakar, who has been struggling to bring back to the party fold, the breakaway group, which is led by Wike.
The other G5 members are Governor Samuel Ortom (Benue), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), and Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State).
In a tweet on Tuesday, Atiku said: “As you turn 55 today, I pray that all lines fall in pleasant places for you. Enjoy your special day.”
Atiku had, however, said he would continue to engage the G5 Governors in dialogue that will lead to the resolution of the crisis, describing the dispute as “a family affair”.
