The Member representing South East/North East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Agboworin, has joined numerous well-wishers to celebrate the 70th birthday of a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Chief Bayo Lawal.
The 70th birthday celebration has attracted widespread attention, with many dignitaries and well-wishers sending congratulatory messages to mark the occasion.
In a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mayowa Okekale, Agboworin described Chief Lawal, who is also the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on Special Duties, as an icon, a statesman, and a shining example of integrity, wisdom, and selfless service.
The statement read, “Today is indeed a great day being the first day of the last month of year 2024 and the birthday of a true elder-statesman.
“Chief Bayo Lawal is more than just a mentor; he is a father figure, a guiding light, and a source of inspiration to many. His life is a testament to the power of perseverance, hard work, and dedication.
“I am honored to celebrate this remarkable individual, and we look forward to many more years of his guidance, wisdom, and leadership.”
The two-term lawmaker praised Chief Lawal’s contributions to the development of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole, noting that his impact will be felt for generations to come.
Agboworin, however, prayed for continued good health, wisdom, and strength for the celebrant.
