Member representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun, popularly known as Agboworin, has taken another significant step in fulfilling his campaign promise to improve essential infrastructure in his constituency.
The two term lawmaker, who is also the Chairman House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, completed the installation of solar light installations in all the Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in the two local government areas that made up his constituency.
This development is coming after a recently completing the installation of additional 1,100 units of solar lights in all the 24 wards in the same constituency.
The project is aimed at lightning up the 19 PHCs in the North East local government and 15 PHCs in the South East local government areas of the constituency, hence making a total of 34 Primary Health Centres.
Those in the North East LGA include: Odo-Osun PHC (ward 1); Igbori-Efon PHC (ward 2); Kosodo PHC, (ward 3); Ajegunle PHC and Ile-Aperin PHC and Omowunmi PHC (ward 4); Alafara-Adeogba PHC (ward 5); Oje-Eleka PHC (ward 6); Atipe PHC (ward 7); Aremo PHC (ward 8); Lagelu-Ilupeju PHC (ward 9); Irefin PHC (ward 10); Akeke-Olorombo, Ifesowapo PHC and Iwo-Road PHC (ward 11); Oke-Ade PHC (ward 12).
The PHCs illuminated in the South East LGA include Mapo Health Centre (ward 1); Omiyale PHC (ward 2); Oranyan PHC (ward3); Agbongbon PHC (ward 5); Elekuro PHC (ward 6); Orita-Aperin PHC (ward 7); Odinjo PHC (ward 8); Raji Akande PHC (ward 9); Owode PHC; Iyana-Court PHC and Balaro PHC (ward 10); Boluwaji PHC and Eyin Grammar PHC (ward 11); Felele PHC and Molete PHC (ward 12).
The development would improve the security of the environments, which is in line with his agenda to make positive impact in the area of security as well as promoting a sense of safety for all.
Equally, the project has shown that the lawmaker is committed to improving the lives of his constituents, which is a fundamental aspect of community development.
With this initiative, delivery of adequate care would be enhanced as the pathways leading to the PHCs would be well-lit, contributing to accessibility of health services during night hours.
The development would also enhance delivery of adequate health care to the constituents who would be accessing the facilities for medical attention.
