As Year 2025 beacons in the next few days, a new year is a time for new resolutions and actions that will propel and support progress.
It is a new year where Nigerians and all friends and admirers of the country must work concertedly to bring back the good old fortunes, which the current leadership phrased as “living in fake lifestyles.”
It presents another opportunity to reflect and take decisions that will advance wellbeing individually and collectively.
Nigerians must stop behaving like a conquered people. A conquered people have no say in how their lives are governed. Nigerians must be involved in how our lives are being governed.
The outgoing year 2024 has been very challenging, no thanks to the obnoxious policies of the current Government under PBAT.
NIgerians must realise that the Tinubu-led government has deliberately abandoned governance for 2027 re-election preparations, hence the bitting hardship in the country.
According to President Tinubu, Nigerians were living in fake lifestyles before he became president, inferring that the Tinubu administration is being deliberate in railing the country to more hardship.
Ironically, the same administration is asking for more time when it is obvious that they do not have a clear direction that would elevate Nigerians from the current deplorable conditions.
Stakeholders and leaders of note who should be talking have been quiet and suddenly become complacent.
The worst of all is the National Assembly, an institution that should be the faces and minds of Nigerians in the government, but sadly has morphed into cheering Nigerians into penury and oppression, rending a chorus praise-singing the President.
Nigerians can only hope and pray that 2025 comes with a different tune.
Once again, I wish Nigerians a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year in advance.
