A diaspora group, The Ogbona Diaspora in the Americas, has called on the newly elected governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebolo, to wake up to his new responsibility and start hitting the ground running as campaign time is over.
The group gave the submission in a statement signed and made available to journalists recently by its President and Secretary, Dr. Charles E. Orbih and Captain Frank Asapokhai respectively.
While saying that it was about time the Governor achieved greater heights that his successor could not attain, the group maintained that it is hopeful of the governor’s positive impacts in terms of policies and initiatives.
It urged the governor to focus on economic development, infrastructure and security of lives and property of the people of the state, wishing him wisdom, strength, and success as he begins to navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.
The statement read in part, “Congratulations to the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Monday Okpebolo and his administration on their ascension to the government of Edo State!
