The lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Abass Adigun, popularly known as Agboworin, has felicitated with the wife of the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. (Mrs.) Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde, on the occasion of her 52nd birthday anniversary.
The lawmaker, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Narcotic Drugs, while recognizing the commitment of Mrs Makinde to the progress of the state, most especially in the areas of education, women empowerment and healthcare, commended her efforts, saying she is a rare gem.
Agboworin, in a statement signed by his Head of Media Unit, Mayowa Okekale, and made available to journalists in Ibadan, described the First Lady as a compassionate woman, who has been a pillar of support for the family.
According to the statement, the lawmaker equally cherished Mrs Makinde for living a life of humility, patience, loyalty and commitment to the progress and advancement of the family, and the state in general.
He, however, prayed that God would engrace her with more years in sound health and prosperity to continue to give to humanity out of the abundance in her possession.
The statement read, ‘I am happy to witness a day like this again, being the birthday of my our wonderful First Lady in Oyo State. I thank God for adding to her year and it is marvelous in my sight.
“I pray to Almighty God to further grant her the wisdom and large heart to cope with the responsibilities imposed on her, both domestically and officially.
“As she marks her birthday today, I wish her more blessings, more peace and more grace in service of the family and humanity. Happy Birthday to our beautiful, humble and lovely First Lady, Mrs Tamunominini Makinde.”
