21-year-old Peniel Idowu a chef from Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, could set a new world record for the longest cooking time of 200 hours and above in the next 3 days.
Peniel set out to beat the previous title-holder of this record, Hilda Baci as she is expected to achieve a record by Saturday 7th of October 2023
Peniel, a youth corp member serving in the ancient city of Ibadan, had all her time in school cooked for her friends, and lecturers to fend and sponsor her educational bills.
She is currently in her 150 hours at the Omo-Oke Hotel, Apartments and Event Center, Kuola, Akala Expressway, in Ibadan to break the record.
Friends, family and fans have been cheering her.
Peniel, aside from being a youth corp member, she possesses a certificate in culinary skill
In addition to standing for more than 200 hours, cooking over 25 dishes, and serving over 1,000 guests, Penniel is set to achieve this feat in a few days to come.
