The Peoples Democratic Party’s chairmanship candidate in Lagelu local government area, Mr. Mudashiru Kamorudeen has congratulated the newly turbaned Chief Imam of Lagun-land, Al-Sheikh Shibli Folohunso Akande.
Earlier today, the well revered Islamic Cleric, Al-Sheikh Shibli Folohunso Akande was turbaned as Chief Imam of “Lagun-land” in a most honorable manner in Lagelu local government area of Oyo State.
In his statement to the press on the turbaning event, the Chairmanship candidate, Mudashiru Kamorudeen stressed as follows:
“Al-Sheikh Folorunso Akande is one of the great religious leaders of this era, known by many to have led a good life”.
“The reason many of us could stand here today to witness his turbaning as Chief Imam is, as most people would agree, more than just being a religious leader. He has remained true to his commitment to make his own marks on the common humanity. In doing so, Al-Sheikh Folorunso Akande leaves a towering legacy of compassion, faith, and service to others. A legacy based not only on the strength and grace of his Islamic faith, but on the abiding faith that he also shared in humanity”.
“Physically, intellectually, and spirituality, Al-Sheikh Folorunso Akande has continue to make sense of humanity and the Islamic faith… That makes him one-of-a-kind to this great society of ours”.
“As a child to him, I want to congratulate him on the grand event of his well-deserved turbaning as Chief Imam of Lagun-land”, Kamorudeen said.
