All ward Chairmen of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo East local government areas, on Friday, threw weight behind the Council chairman, Alhaji Hon. Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, in a bid to run for another three years in office.
The party chairmen said their decision was based on Arowosaye’s sterling performance as the chairman of the local administration.
Making the declaration during their weekly meeting on Friday, the ten (10) Ward chairmen of the PDP in Oyo East local government, in a statement jointly signed and made available to journalists, reaffirmed that the current chairman has performed very well.
They added that AROSAD supported the party to build an unbreakable team that has raised the bar of excellence of good governance in Oyo East, Kosobo, Oyo State.
Speaking on behalf of the PDP ward chairmen, Mr. Adedeji Rahman, who doubles as Ward 05 party chair maintained; “Our desire to solicits support is borne out of a sincere desire to consolidate on the great foundation, which Arowosaye’s administration has laid in critical areas of primary education, primary health care, security, environment, good roads, agriculture and, most importantly, opening up economic frontiers towards improved private sector investment in the areas of comparative advantage.”
The ward chairmen said when his performance was placed side by side with the records of the previous administrations, his government had performed well beyond any reasonable doubt.
The party chairmen commend the council Boss on his youths and women empowerment programme structured through the party, which has ensured productive and effective cordial relations across the ward in Oyo East.
“Arowosaye is a man of peace with a heart of gold who carries everyone along in the scheme of things and deserves a second term in office.
“Your administration has delivered on infrastructural revolution. Arowosaye has been able to improve the economy of the grassroots through agribusiness and making a local business thrive, his template has introduced to us that good governance is beyond politics, If Saheed tells you something is solved, it means it is solved, he’s trustworthy per excellent.”
They asserted that, if more opportunity is given to Hon Arowosaye, he’ll perform better and the majority of the people will benefit largely from him.
According to Chief Kehinde Ogundare, the ward 10 party chairman described Alhaji Arowosaye as an achiever in terms of infrastructure and welfare of the people vis-a-vis; reconstruction of the Akesan market, N2Million naira soft loan for party members without interest, rehabilitation of Ashamu-Kosobo road, opening up of residential housing scheme at low cost, distribution of cars to party leaders, monthly empowerment to 20 widows across the wards and others.
Also X-raying the achievement within the party, Ward 07 party chairman Hamzat Tajudeen said, Out of the statutory Supervisors and Special Assistants (S.A) to the council, Arowosaye single-handedly appointed 11 special members, personally paid every month with #25,000 naira each, support parties program, provision for party’s general meeting, all these privates to declared support.
They vowed to support AROSAD’s second term for the display of quality leadership in terms of administratio and grassroots governance.
