The people of Ibadan North Local Government, on Wednesday, could not hold their joy over the nomination of Hon. Toyin Balogun as commissioner.
Mrs Toyin Balogun, who was the Director of women’s mobilization in the 2023 governorship election of Engr. Seyi Makinde’s reelection campaign, has been described as a blessing to the Ibadan North local government area and a true representation of the Council.
Balogun, over the years, has shown great resilience and true dedication to the course of human development and unflinching support for Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.
It is believed that her addition to Makinde’s Omituntun 2.0 administration would bring more value to the people of Oyo State and pride to the people of her local government.
Among the nominees forwarded to the Assembly include former Commissioner for Women Affairs, and the Immediate Past Commissioner for Special Duties, Fausat AJOKE Sanni; immediate past Commissioner of Public Works and Transport Prof. Dahud Kehinde Sangodoyin.
Others are former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Professor Musbau Babatunde; former Oyo State Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Immediate Past Commissioner for Trade & Investment Adeniyi Adebisi.
The nominees are expected to appear before the House of Assembly next week for screening.
