The SA to Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Islamic Affairs, Abdrasheed Adewale Abdulazeez, on Saturday, bagged an honorary doctorate degree from Prowess University, Delaware – USA in partnership with the Institute of Arts Management and Professional Studies.
The institution awarded him as a result of his immense contributions to public and humanitarian service.
He received the award during the institution’s 9th Leadership Summit/Induction/Doctorate Degree Award, which held at the International Conference Centre of the University of Ibadan, Ibadan.
Abdrasheed, an indigene of Ibadan, Oyo State, is a widely travelled individual who has held several administrative positions, and understands the nitty gritty of public administration, hence the award was bestowed on him.
The University noted that the award is aimed at celebrating his resolve to continue to be useful to his fatherland and humanity in general.
Speaking after receiving the award, Dr. Abdulazeez expressed gratitude to the institution for counting him worthy among the recipients of the award, and dedicated it to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr ‘Seyi Makinde.
He thanked the Institution for the honour attributed to his contribution towards bettering the lives and development of people of Nigeria via public administration in the state.
