Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has assured the people of the state including the traders at Agbowo Shopping Complex that the contract for the renovation would be re-awarded to another contractor in his second term, saying it will bounce back to life soon.

The Governor, who stated this on Saturday while speaking on Fresh FM Ibadan with Mayor Isaac Brown on a programme tagged ‘People’s Parliament, had earlier apologized to the affected traders and the people of the state over the failed project.

He, however, stated that his government, under the Omituntun 2.0 scope, will, as soon as possible, revisit the project, which, according to him, will also contribute to the economy of the state.

The governor explained that his government is in the process of re-awarding the contract to another contractor, stating that the paper is ready and the government will ensure promptness and track the development.
