As the 2027 political picture continues to take a strong shape, strong evidence has emerged on Thursday, January 9th, that the celebrated philanthropist, Otunba Niyi Adekola, will be joining the 2027 political race for the House of Representatives, Atisbo/Saki West/Saki East Federal Constituency.

This indication took a ripe height during a colourful Yuletide feast the APC shining hopeful organised for party chieftains from the three local governments that made up the federal constituency.

Insiders at the event confirmed that the philanthropist, Otunba Niyi Adekola has formally made known his intention to run for the seat, building on his antecedents as a cosmopolitan philanthropist and a political enthusiast who has consistently found peace in relating well with his people.

Earlier, available facts have it that the successful technocrat cum politician has been making wide consultations with relevant party stakeholders towards securing his party ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.

So, to those already in the know, the demonstration of intent at the feast arena was just a more reliable confirmation of an aroma that their ears have already smelt.

This news platform further gathered that the coast is already becoming clearer for Otunba Niyi Adekola, who is making stronger waves than any other personality who may also wish to battle out the party ticket for the constituency.

“… except we don’t want to be wise enough, we shouldn’t think twice before handing our party ticket to Otunba Niyi. We have seen his impacts before he even showed interest to contest. He is honest, trustworthy, and generous. Or what else do we want?”

Similarly, a revered party figure from Ofiki Ward 5 of Atisbo Local Government, where Otunba Niyi hailed from, revealed to this news platform

“… he is a true son of the soil and one that has been very visible in many of our endeavours. His father, Elder S A. Adekola, has been a highly respected leader even beyond the shores of politics. He has been there consistently for our party for so long without blemish. Seeing his son, Otunba Niyi, coming out to contest should be commended. I see in him the needed capacity and reputation to succeed if given the opportunity”.
