Traditional Council in Oyo East Local Government area of Oyo State, under the chairmanship of Hon Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi, has endorsed the reelection of Governor Seyi Makinde
Declaring their endorsement on Tuesday, the traditional council said GSM tenure had brought significant changes to governance in Oyo state since he assumed office in 2019.
High Chief Samuel Odurinde Jp (Baale Ajaagba), who led the traditional council to the Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, said their readiness to support the re-election bid of Governor Seyi Makinde is the tremendous development he brought to the Local government area and Oyo state.
Speaking further on behalf of other traditional rulers, the Chief can’t hide his joy over the speedy completion of Akesan market that was gutted by fire which Seyi Makinde led administration reconstructed within a year to a modern market and the light up Oyo that has reduced insecurity within their domains.
Hon. Arowosaye, in his brief remark, commended the Oyo East Local Government Area’s Traditional Council for endorsing the re-election bid of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde for a second term in office.
He added that the endorsement exercise was a testament to the Governor’s excellent leadership, commitment, and dedication to the development of the local government and the state.
According to him, Governor Makinde’s focus on education, healthcare, security, agriculture and infrastructure development has been noteworthy and his second term in office will provide him with the opportunity to consolidate on the progress made so far.
Arowosaye, therefore, urged the good people of the local government to emulate the example of the traditional rulers by supporting the Governor’s re-election bid for the greater good of our local government and Oyo state.
