Forum of Local Government areas in Ekiti South Senatorial district have welcomed the constitution of Atiku Campaign Organization in the South.
They added that the party’s structure in the state will work with the council to ensure victory for all the candidates of the party in the general election.
The Chairmen, speaking through Mr Alao Folorunsho, reiterated that all hands must be on deck to deliver each polling unit for the party’s Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and other elective positions in the senatorial district.
“It will be a thing of joy for us in Ekiti South to return Senator Abiodun Olujimi to the Senate and add many elective positions in the National Assembly,” Afolalu said.
Congratulating members of the campaign council headed by the former Deputy Governor, Prof. Olusola Eleka, he advised them to be generous in bringing party members together across the 6 Local Governments to identify with all the candidates of the party.
“The result of the last governorship election should serve as a deterrent for all party faithful. It is time for genuine grassroots mobilization that will restore back the confidence Ekiti people have in PDP,” He noted.
Appealing to party leaders and members from other senatorial districts to desist from creating division in the South Senatorial district, Afolalu said those sponsoring anti-party activities against Senator Olujimi will have themselves to blame after her resounding victory in the 2023 general election.
He concluded that the forum of PDP Chairmen in the South has resolved to pull their strength behind all the candidates and ensure grassroots mobilization.
