The Director-General of the Atiku Youth Wing Campaign Organisation, Comrade Odih Rowland, has paid a courtesy visit to the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who returned to Nigeria after spending days in the United Kingdom.
Atiku had travelled to London where he met with officials of the UK government, alongside the former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; Sokoto Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, and Udom Emmanuel, governor of Akwa Ibom, among others.
While abroad, there were speculations that Abubakar was in the country to seek medical attention but the PDP presidential campaign council debunked the reports.
But during the visit to Atiku, Odih Rowland noted that efforts are in top gear to activating networks of youths that would work for the victory of the presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, adding that the party will reclaim Aso Villa in 2023.
Responding, the presidential candidate commended the doggedness and consistency of the DG Youth, reassuring that his decision of 40 per cent of youths inclusiveness in his administration remains intact.
“Thank you, Rowland. I can see what you are doing and I hope that we will all smile at the end of the day. For the youths, I have a good plan for them in my administration. So, I want to use this opportunity to, again, reassure that 40 per cent of the youths will be included to run with me in my administration if I have the opportunity to become the next president,” Atiku said.
