In a bid to drum up support for the re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde and all candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming elections, the Executive Chairman of Oyo East Local Government Area, Prince Saheed Arowosaye and his team, on Thursday, made house-to-house visits to engage with voters.
The Team used the opportunity to explain the candidates’ policies and manifesto in the Alaodi/Modaeke ward of the local government.
According to Prince Arowosaye, the door-to-door campaign is aimed at reaching out to as many people as possible and giving them a chance to ask questions.
He said that the Governor and the PDP candidates are committed to improving the lives of the people and that the door-to-door campaign will help to create a more personal and direct connection with the voters.
During the campaign, Prince Arowosaye was joined by some PDP leaders and supporters, who are also engaging with residents and spreading the Governor’s and other candidates of the party messages.
The Chairman was well-received by residents, who welcomed the opportunity to hear directly from their political leaders.
Many residents praised Prince Arowosaye for his dedication to the campaign and expressed their support for the PDP and its candidates, saying that they believe the party has the best policies to improve their lives.
The door-to-door campaign is part of the PDP’s broader election strategy. With the elections fast approaching, Prince Arowosaye and his team are determined to reach as many people as possible and make a strong case for why the Governor and other PDP candidates are the right choice for the people of Oyo East.
The chairman, however, expressed confidence that the PDP will sweep the polls in the local government and the state because the party enjoys the overwhelming support of the people.
